1. Who we are and scope

This public-facing Privacy Notice applies to ICE – International Center for Export and to personal data collected through iceexporteg.com, RFQ submissions, quotation follow-up links and related business communications. ICE is based in Alexandria, Egypt. Privacy enquiries may be sent to info@iceexporteg.com.

2. Data we collect

Depending on the interaction, we may collect business contact details, company information, delivery or project location, RFQ references, requested dates, product descriptions, quantities, brands, part numbers, standards, BOQs, datasheets, drawings, photographs, quotation and Purchase Order information, and technical security logs needed to operate and protect the website.

Please do not upload personal information that is not necessary for the purchasing or technical purpose of the request.

3. How we collect data

Most information is supplied directly by you. We may also receive relevant business contact or procurement information from an authorized colleague, your employer, a project team, a supplier or a legitimate public business source.

4. Why we use it

We use information to receive and validate enquiries, clarify requirements, source and compare commercial options, prepare and revise quotations, coordinate Purchase Orders and delivery, keep RFQ history, maintain commercial records, communicate with buyers and suppliers, protect the website and meet applicable legal, tax, accounting or regulatory obligations.

5. Legal basis

The legal basis depends on the activity and may include taking requested steps before a contract, performance or administration of a contract, compliance with legal duties, legitimate business/security interests, or valid consent where consent is legally required. This notice is a transparency notice and is not a request for marketing consent.

6. Suppliers and recipients

Where reasonably necessary to evaluate or fulfill an RFQ, relevant technical or commercial information may be shared with potential manufacturers, distributors, suppliers, logistics providers, professional advisers, hosting/email providers or other service providers involved in sourcing or fulfillment. ICE aims to limit sharing to what is needed for that purpose and does not sell personal data to advertisers.

7. Cross-border processing

Some suppliers or service providers may operate outside Egypt. Where personal data must be transferred across borders, ICE will seek to handle the transfer in accordance with applicable Egyptian data-protection requirements and use appropriate safeguards where required. Countries may vary by product origin, supplier and technology provider.

8. Local storage, cookies and analytics

The RFQ basket uses browser local storage so selected items remain on your device while you prepare the request. The current site is not designed around behavioural advertising cookies. If non-essential analytics or advertising tracking is introduced, the notice and any required consent mechanism will be updated.

9. Retention

Retention depends on purpose and record type. RFQs that do not progress may be held for a reasonable follow-up and audit period. Quotations, orders, invoices, delivery records and commercial correspondence may be retained longer for accounting, tax, contractual, warranty, audit, dispute or legal reasons. Records are deleted, anonymised, archived or access-restricted when no longer reasonably required.

10. Security

ICE uses measures intended to protect data, including HTTPS, restricted administration, secure sessions, file-upload controls, anti-abuse controls and access-limited storage. No online system can be guaranteed absolutely secure. Do not send passwords, payment-card data or unrelated sensitive information through an RFQ form.

11. Your rights

Subject to applicable law and the circumstances of processing, you may have rights to access, correction, deletion in appropriate cases, restriction or objection, withdrawal of consent where applicable, and information about processing or transfers. Requests can be sent to info@iceexporteg.com; reasonable verification may be required.

12. Complaints and Egyptian framework

Personal-data processing in Egypt is governed by the Personal Data Protection Law No. 151 of 2020 and its Executive Regulations issued by Decision No. 816 of 2025, together with applicable decisions and guidance. Individuals may have the right to complain to Egypt’s Personal Data Protection Center (PDPC).

13. Children

ICE is a business-to-business industrial supply website and is not directed to children. The RFQ workflow is intended for business users and authorized organizational representatives.

14. Updates

We may update this notice when the website, procurement workflow, service providers or legal requirements change. The current version and update date will be published on this page.
